Jack Irving Redford is a professional electric bassist currently working around New York City and the tri-state area. He is a confident sight reader who specializes in both 20th century and modern jazz, but is also skilled in a wide variety of other styles such as: Blues, Soul, Funk, Motown, Pop, Country, Folk, Latin and Rock.
In the summer of 2013 he graduated from Middlesex University in London (UK) where he studied BA Jazz and received a 2:1 with honours. There, he learnt the rudiments of Jazz harmony and rhythm, while focusing on technique and building his repertoire.
Jack Redford has extensive experience working on both land and sea having worked with Carnival, Norwegian and Seabourn Cruise Lines. He now continues to play regular gigs with both big and small ensembles on land. He also has experience recording as a session musician for numerous artists.
